Default Grassy Narrows First Nation asserts sovereignty to pass Anishinaabe law on alcohol use
A traditional Anishinaabe law on alcohol possession is now in effect in Grassy Narrows north of Kenora, Ont., a clear departure from the Indian Act and a rare move that Chief Randy Fobister hopes will help address social problems exacerbated by the pandemic.
