Default Some Northern residents vow to oppose federal regulations to release treated oilsands tailings water
As the N.W.T.'s environment minister prepares to respond diplomatically to the potential for discharging treated oilsands tailings water into the environment, Smith's Landing First Nation Chief Gerry Cheezie said officials should expect opposition from communities downstream from the oilfields.
