It looks like Im not able to port forward on my Arcadyan hub...
From Telus Assist: "Currently, TELUS residential services do not support port forwarding. If you require port forwarding, a static IP through our business plans may be more suited for your needs." What I really want to do is connect to my Mac from outside my lan... however this is achievable. My usual method involves port forwarding ... which I've been doing since the late 90's... but this clearly isn't the best way to achieve my goal... opening ports seems like a no-no nowadays ? Any ideas/suggestions on how to tunnel through the Telus Arcadyan Hub to connect to my Mac? Some requirements: -I have 2 Optik TVs, so I'm married to the Arcadyan -I just bought 3 Boosts (replaced my 2 TP-Link routers) Is there a way to VPN through? ... like... my Arlo cameras are able to tunnel from outside in my lan to view live backyard... I figure there is a way to do this without opening ports or mucking around with the hub settings Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! More... |
