Post Calgary hotel honours Queen's first visit — as princess
Queen Elizabeth II stayed at Currie Barracks, then a Canadian military base, on her first trip to Calgary in 1951. She was Princess back then, but the building, now a private hotel, has a room commemorating her visit.
