Default Dispatching Car 867: Yukon pilot project pairs mental health nurse with RCMP for some emergency calls
The Whitehorse RCMP and the Yukon Government have launched a new mobile crisis response team. A response to the territory's substance use health emergency, this joint initiative will help with early intervention for underlying mental health issues and may also help divert people away from the criminal justice and hospital systems.
