DNS Host mapping only sometimes works

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas - I have enabled a DNS host mapping on telus T3200M. The computer is set-up with a static IP, so computer IP address isn't changing. When i go to access the site using the DNS name, it sometimes works on one computer, but not on another computer that is connected to the same network, or sometimes it doesn't work at all.

When it doesn't work - i get the following error message.
Hmmm… can't reach this pages XXXXXXXX took too long to respond
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Someone told me, that i could try and just use the telus T3200M as a bridge and setup a private router, which may fix this issue, but thought i would ask if anyone has had any experience with this before, before going done that road.
