Just bought in Tuscany and I'm blown away by how friendly the neighbors are. Within the first week, three different families came by to introduce themselves.

I looked at both Charleswood and Rocky Ridge before settling on Garrison Woods. The school district was the deciding factor for us. No regrets at all.

Good luck!

If walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Saddle Ridge is a great choice! We've been here for 10 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

We moved from Belmont to Belmont last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

Blink for date night is perfect. Great ambiance, amazing menu, and the cocktails are on point. Can't recommend it enough. Book ahead though, it fills up fast.

Cheers!

Been in Erlton for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

One more thing - thanks for bringing this up. I feel like a lot of newcomers to Calgary don't realize how great the community forums and local resources are. Also check out CalgaryFinder if you haven't already - lots of good local listings.

We're in Currie Barracks and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.
