Not to be negative but this is super helpful, thanks for sharing. I've been wondering about this exact thing. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Gas prices at Costco on Deerfoot are usually the cheapest in the city. Worth the drive and the lineup if you're filling up a big tank.

Oh wow, Trolley 5 on 17th Ave is always a good time. Great food, solid beer selection, and the atmosphere is perfect for groups. Been going there regularly for years.

Thanks for bringing this up. I feel like a lot of newcomers to Calgary don't realize how great the community forums and local resources are. Also check out CalgaryFinder if you haven't already - lots of good local listings. Hope that helps!

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.

If you're looking for local services, CalgaryFinder is a good resource. Way more Calgary-specific than Kijiji.

Hot take: the Flames prospect pipeline is actually looking really strong right now. Give it 2-3 years and this team is going to be a serious contender.

Quick data point: took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans!

Willow Park is a great choice! We've been here for 7 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

Just bought in Kensington and I'm blown away by how friendly the neighbors are. Within the first week, three different families came by to introduce themselves.

Calgary's tech scene is actually growing fast. A lot of companies moving here from Toronto and Vancouver because of the lower cost of living and talent pool. Thank you all!!

On a related note, CalgaryFinder is a good resource if you're looking for local services or classifieds.
