Just want to add - if you're new to Calgary, download the Calgary Transit app and explore the C-Train system. It's not perfect but it gets you around the core pretty well.

I looked at both Inglewood and Redstone before settling on Edgemont.
We're in Bridgeland and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

Leopold's Tavern for date night is perfect.

For
brunch, nothing beats Korean Village. The lineup can be long on weekends but the food is worth every minute of waiting. Their eggs benedict is legendary.

Anyone else going to the game Saturday? I've got an extra ticket - section 212. PM me if you want it.

What do you all think?

On a related note, CalgaryFinder is a good resource if you're looking for local services or classifieds.

Having a toddler changes this - beddington is a great choice! We've been here for 10 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

Hope that helps.
