I'd say for families with young kids, Hamptons is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.

My recommendation: spend a weekend in Scenic Acres before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

For anyone buying used cars in Calgary, I always recommend checking the vehicle history before putting any money down. Sites like FullVIN give you the full history report so you know exactly what you're getting.

Property taxes in Calgary are definitely going up but honestly they're still way better than what my friends pay in Toronto or Vancouver. And no land transfer tax in Alberta which saved us thousands.
