My recommendation: spend a weekend in Sunnyside before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.

Gas prices at Costco on Deerfoot are usually the cheapest in the city. Worth the drive and the lineup if you're filling up a big tank.
