Sports-wise, for groceries, the best value in Calgary is honestly the ethnic supermarkets. T&T, Superstore International aisle, and the shops on International Avenue have way better prices on produce and spices. Can't wait for the next game.

Based on my research, calgary's tech scene is actually growing fast. A lot of companies moving here from Toronto and Vancouver because of the lower cost of living and talent pool.

Take this with a grain of salt but ship & Anchor is a Calgary institution. Been going there for years. The patio in summer is one of the best spots in the entire city.

Cheers!
