The secondary suite market in Calgary is really strong. We have a legal basement suite in Royal Oak and the rental income covers a big chunk of our mortgage. Worth the investment for sure.

The market right now is competitive but not insane like Toronto or Vancouver. You can still get a nice detached home under $600K in a good neighborhood if you're willing to look at Marlborough or Scarboro.

Cheers!

Based on my research, if you're looking at buying near the future Green Line stations, I'd say that's a smart long-term investment. The property values along existing C-Train lines went up significantly.

For anyone looking for a great meal that won't break the bank, check out the lunch specials at Rosso Coffee. Same amazing food as dinner but at a fraction of the cost.

So excited about this - For anyone looking for a great meal that won't break the bank, check out the lunch specials at Rouge. Same amazing food as dinner but at a fraction of the cost.

Hope that helps.

Calgary's biggest asset honestly is the people. I've never lived somewhere where neighbors actually say hello and help each other out like they do here.

Good luck!

Took the family to Foreign Concept this weekend. Kids loved it, great portions, and the bill didn't make me cry. That's a win in my books.

Hope that helps.

Anyone else notice how many potholes there are on Macleod Trail this spring? My alignment is toast. Calgary needs to step up the road maintenance game.

Cheers!

I'd recommend driving through Rangeview at different times of day before you commit. Traffic patterns and noise levels can vary a lot between morning and evening.

Good luck!

Honestly, best phone plan deal in Calgary right now is through the BYOD options. Brought my own phone and I'm paying $45/month for 20GB with good coverage across the city.

Cheers!
