If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

The two of us looked at both Elbow Park and Martindale before settling on West Springs. The school district was the deciding factor for us. No regrets at all.

My recommendation: spend a weekend in Rocky Ridge before buying.
We're in Mahogany and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

Cheers!

For families with young kids, Cranston is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.

Oh wow, Bowness is a great choice! We've been here for 6 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

If walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.
Just bought in Rocky Ridge and I'm blown away by how friendly the neighbors are. Within the first week, three different families came by to introduce themselves.

Good luck!
