First time buyers - my biggest advice is don't skip the home inspection. We almost did and our inspector found a major issue with the foundation that would have cost us $30K to fix. Thank you all!!

The gaming community in Calgary is bigger than you'd think. There are regular LAN events and gaming cafes. Also some great shops for PC building components.

Best seats at the Saddledome on a budget: upper bowl press level, center ice. You can see the whole play develop. Way better than being in the corner lower bowl.

We moved from Elbow Park to Scenic Acres last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.
If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you. |

Hey, alberta Health Services wait times can be long but the quality of care in Calgary hospitals is actually really good. I've had great experiences at Foothills and South Health Campus.
Good luck! |
