New arena talk keeps going back and forth. I love the Dome for nostalgia but we genuinely need a modern facility. Hoping it actually happens this time.

Property taxes in Calgary are definitely going up but honestly they're still way better than what my friends pay in Toronto or Vancouver. And no land transfer tax in Alberta which saved us thousands.

Good luck!

Just saw an amazing show at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Calgary's arts scene doesn't get enough credit. The Calgary Philharmonic is world class.

Cheers!

Pro tip: a lot of the best restaurants in Calgary offer cheaper menus during Stampede week.
Just discovered Korean Village in New Brighton and wow. Why didn't anyone tell me about this place sooner? The Persian is authentic and absolutely delicious.

For what it's worth - just a heads up about Citadel - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

Hope that helps.

If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

Cheers!

If you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option. Did one in Mission last week and had a blast.
