Just a heads up about Saddle Ridge - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

Been in Taradale for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

Curious to know what others think.

From my experience, home renovation quotes in Calgary are all over the place. Got three quotes for a bathroom reno and they ranged from $8K to $25K. Always get multiple quotes. Hope that helps!

If walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.
My recommendation: spend a weekend in Copperfield before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

Loving Calgary so far! Just moved to Charleswood and can confirm this. The neighborhood is fantastic, especially the access to Bow River pathway. Highly recommend for anyone considering it.

Shout out to everyone in this thread. This is what a real community forum should be - people actually helping each other out.

One more thing - thanks for bringing this up. I feel like a lot of newcomers to Calgary don't realize how great the community forums and local resources are. Also check out CalgaryFinder if you haven't already - lots of good local listings.

Hot take: the Flames prospect pipeline is actually looking really strong right now. Give it 2-3 years and this team is going to be a serious contender.
