Default IHT Rendezvous: Russian Nationalists Say ‘Nyet’ to Foreign Words
A group of Russian legislators wants to halt a tide of English and other foreign words entering the Russian language by imposing fines on those who use them. How far can laws go to halt the onward march of English as the dominant international language?
