Struggling with an insatiable sweet tooth? Here's a dessert-like indulgence you can enjoy at just about any point in the day -- without an ounce of guilt. This sweet nut butter dip is just the right balance of creaminess and crunch, great to eat as a breakfast, mid-day snack or nighttime treat. Pair it with tart apples or salty pretzels to create a robust flavor profile you really won't be able to get enough of. Creamy, Crunchy Nut Butter Dip Recipe by Cara Tannenbaum and Andrea Tutunjian, authors of In A Nutshell: Cooking and Baking with Nuts and Seeds Makes 3 cups Ingredients 2 c. reduced fat Greek yogurt 1 c. natural nut butter (almond, peanut or cashew) 4 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract 1/2 c. (2.5 oz.) chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts or cashews) Sliced apples or bananas, and/or salted pretzels Directions Combine the yogurt and the nut butter in a small mixing bowl and stir well. Mix in the maple syrup, vanilla and nuts, reserving a few of the nuts to sprinkle on top. Serve immediately with apples, bananas and/or pretzels.
